Senior Manager – Finance & Accounting Recruitment
Pascal is responsible for the further development of our Finance & Accounting practice.
He began his career with a renowned Private Bank in Zurich before moving to an international Fund Management company where he spent 12 years building and developing the Swiss market.
Pascal has been in the specialised Recruitment industry since 2007 and focusses on filling vacancies for specialists and managers in the Finance & Accounting discipline.
In his spare time he is an avid record collector with an affinity for jazz.
Our client is a worldwide leader in production and distribution of industrial chemicals with operations in 180 different locations and close to 10,000 employees. Within this role you would be based out the international headquarters in the region of Olten Switzerland and be a part of the Group Controlling team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the preparation & presentation of the monthly results/analysis to executive management and establish ad-hoc reports for different management levels
- Support monthly, half-year and year-end closing according to IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER requirements (annual report)
- Responsible for intercompany reconciliation during month-end closing
- Contribute to the implementation of continuous auditing
- Maintain and develop the Group reporting tools (OneStream and SAP Business Warehouse)
- Assist and support the finance organization in accounting issues
- Project work on financial accounting/reporting topics and standard setting
- Support M&A activities and collaborate with the internal audit team
- Guidance and assistance for financial forecasting
Requirements
- University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar
- Professional Accounting Qualification (CA, CPA, etc.) is an advantage
- 4-6 years of experience in group accounting and reporting, consolidation and controlling in an international environment or in external audit with a BIG 4 firm
- Proficiency in IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER
- Sound practical knowledge in applications like consolidation software (e.g. OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, IBM Cognos, Tagetik), SAP R/3 and SAP BW
- Advanced Excel skills and interest in developing accounting tools and applications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage
