You will ensure accurate, timely and compliant consolidated financial statements under IFRS, drive improvements to consolidation and reporting processes, and act as a key finance partner to business units and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation process, including management reporting and statutory reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, notes and disclosures, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Own group reporting timetables, close instructions and deliverable tracking; ensure adherence across all entities.
  • Review entity submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy and appropriate analytical commentary (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow).
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, including profit in stock, dividends, intragroup charges and balances.
  • Oversee consolidation adjustments (e.g. leases, pensions, share-based payments, impairments, provisions) and maintain robust supporting documentation.
  • Support external audit activities for group reporting, including preparation of audit files and coordination with local finance teams and auditors.
  • Act as technical accounting point of contact: research, interpret and document accounting treatments and prepare position papers where required.
  • Maintain and develop consolidation and reporting systems including master data, hierarchy changes and user support.
  • Drive continuous improvement: streamline close activities, enhance controls, automate recurring reports, and improve data quality and transparency.
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and local finance leads to ensure alignment between performance reporting and statutory outcomes.
  • Coach and develop colleagues (and potentially manage direct reports), building capability across the group reporting community.
